Glitches with Eyes and Teeth

I just installed Half Life 2 today, the graphics look amazing, except for eyes and teeth. They simply show as white empty spaces, which at first i thought was normal (the intro talking guy) but soon realized it was not. The console says that the eye and teeth shaders could not load. I figured this was a problem with my computer/ video card.

My system specs are

Dell 9300 17" laptop
XP pro
1.73 pentium m
1024 mb of ram
ATI x300 mobile radeon with 128mb of ram
100 gig harddrive of unknown manufacture
Direct X 9
drivers are relatively recent

The amount of times i've seen new people come onto the forum with a problem and is almost instant that people say "Validate It" .... lets just create a huge banner for the Community Game Support saying "TRY VALIDATING YOUR FILES BEFORE POSTING" ... could save us all a lot of time :E

Steam != Source Engine.

I would say i's a problem with the drivers on your card, anything else white? Because the eyes and teeth are the classic case of "pixel shaders are crapping out on your card"
