I still get a little glitching with HL2. I think it's gotten worse since the latest update;

I was wondering, This update info states that one of the fixes was, "Increased cache memory usage for machines that have greater than 512MB of physical memory. This will reduce hitching due to cache thrashing."
So, Does that mean I still need the -heapsize command? Even though I have 1GB of RAM I was running with a -heapsize 256000 value because the Tweak guides pages said 64MB (64000) was allocated as the default. So I though giving it 4 times as much RAM to play with would smooth it out which it did. After the update I removed the command but the game seemed to 'glitch' a lot again (Tiny moments of lag I guess would be a good description but definitely NOT stuttering). I put the command back in (With the same value as before i.e. 256000) but the glitching remains now.
I'm running at 1024x768 with model detail MEDIUM, Simple reflections, HIGH textures, Shadows at top setting, x2 AA, X2 AF, Shader I think is HIGH as well.
