Glock 18 Custom

I made a standard Glock 18, cause they are damn fine looking weapons, and who can go past the full automatic ability :). Once done i cutomized it with a Silencer, Tactical Light, Extended Clip and Custom Aim Point System. The aimpoint was of my own design and i think it came out alright considering i designed as i went.

Might interest you to know i used no brazil for these renders. If you dont have brazil i can teach you to render as though you do :)

Build Time = 8 Hours
Poly Count = 2000 Standard + 750 Attachments

Nice one, hope people would post textured guns more though. :)
 
very, vey nice.... my only crit is a technical one..... under your design you cannot have the aimpoint on if you don't have the tactical flash light.......

faravid... if you want skinned, looked in the CW:MP M9 thread...

Just looked, looks good, though quite dark, though this monitor is tuned very dark so I need to check back at home with proper settings.
 
I just realised that when i posted. But o well you have to have a taclight and Aim Point then :)

Dark renders, i think its your monitor man. They dont look dark to me :borg:

Did you even check your email ???? I did reply and told you how to do it.

Heres an update, did abit of adjusting here and there and added the rails that the slide travels along. Also edited the bottom of the extended clip.

nice a clean and mooth, nice features. u should optamise it for gaming u will proberly end up with a polgon count of about 1100. Hmmm saying that it might be pritty hard when its not animated yet. Proberly just wait until its animted until u do that. Nice polgon counts and should look very nice with a skin on.
 
I'm sure he can optimize it to get 2500 poly max, smoothing groups are very good to keep a rounded look without using to much polys, and it seems that he is efficient with them. Good work :)
 
i have been looking and i havnt found a single tutorial on smoothing groups. if anyone could point out a tutorial, send me an email, [email protected]

im having problems with smoothing groups ... ill smooth one section and smooth it give it a number then i select another secton but when i smooth that it will undo the other bit i just done.. wtf is going on :S
 
are u sure u gave the other smooth group the number 2 isntead of the number 1. No point putting 2 smoothed sections in the same group?
 
no im sure i changed it.

number one is alreadyed ticked from before . then i unticked that and put a tick on number 2

do i have to do it with editabl polly?? coz i got edit mesh and smooth on
 
dude leave the Silencer on i missed it in the second post of pictures. it looks better with the silencer, make sure you keep the SILENCER!!!....k :)
