Discuss and bask in it's glory.

Hummus is great stuff. Can't say that I've eaten hummus that is that color however.

It's basically garbanzo beans(chickpeas) that are ground up. That's the base ingredient. Everything else just defines the unique types of hummus.

I definitely wouldn't call it that because I didn't know it had'm until you said it O_o
But yeah, spicey hummus ftw.

I just like regular hummus with pita but I would like to try a new style or flavor.

Suggestions?

Man, there's so many types. It's all about what you want to mix in with it, or what premade types you want to buy.

The last kind I tried was roasted red pepper hummus and it was delicious.

Roasted red pepper...the only time I tried it was on a bagel...HOLY SHI-

I was under the impression hat hummus was like...sheep intestines.

Or is that haggis?

You're thinking of haggis. Though the ingredients aren't really sheep intestines... it's their heart, lungs and liver... and other stuff. hehehe. Well I guess there might be intestines in there too, I don't know. Never had the stuff, and I never will.

seems like every second thread is about food :P. in any case.. i LOVE this stuff it's been quite some time since i've had authentic middle eastern hummus , i think i might just grab a can (they come in cans right?) of the stuff.
