Glowing pigs

I thought I saw something similar a few years ago :|
They took genes from a fluorescent squid and mixed it with a mammal or something and they also glowed green in the dark :p

EDIT : Pig-flares would own.

Will my bacon glow so I can eat in the dark? :O

yeah we came across this in a newspaper. Here's a dilema:

If you gave that to a cow, would the milk glow in the dark?

thats a bit frightening actually

Frankly, I've wondered how I got through a world WITHOUT glow in the dark milk. Soon the nightmare will be over!

Oh wow. Hopefully this will soon see implementation in humans. I'd like to be fluorescent pink, except it's too late for me 'cause I've already been born.

Nice to know they're using genetically modified technology to mankinds advantage.

Trent Reznor would be proud of this :P
especially if they could get a pig to glow in red ;)

Meh.... Watch this turn into another "experiment goes horribly wrong" sort of thing". I read an article about the type of fish they tested that on, and they said the species would have a dramatic effect on wildlife, etc.... I magine the piggies.

..... AW THE HELL WITH IT! I want a glow in the dark Willy! Night whackin!

Haha, damn right. If my dong glowed, I'd use it to find my way around the room at night and shit.

Also, a flourescent-blue snake (not a trousersnake, a real snake) would be AWESOME.

Now your using your "head"!

Doesn't the fluoresency get it's energy to stay light from some form of energy reserves in your body?
I mean of course it absorbes light, but it must use some energy musn't it?

Pig neon lighting would rock. You'd buy like 20 piglets and you'd screw them in pigbulbs.

:| Somehow, that just didn't come out right at the end.

Before I got to the last two words of that sentence I was worried. I mean, adult flourescent pigs, yes. But screwing flourescent piglets?

Too far, Beerdude. Too ****ing far.

Fine.

Pig neon lighting would rock. You'd buy like 20 piglets and you'd screw them in pigbulbs. This meaning using a circular motion with your hand to turn the piglets and placing them firmly in a "pig socket", which is effectively a feeding pit for the piglet. The buttocks of the piglet will then glow brightly in a specified colour because of the high amount of energy it receives from the feeding pit. OKAY?

Sick ****ers :|

Meh, i did this years ago when i was a child.
Can of glow in the dark paint, one piglet and some time with a brush.....glow in the dark pig!

(yeah i am joking before any PETA members get a bit flustered)

PETA will fist you right up the ass for something like that, if you werent on par with the norris i'd say watch yourself.

**** the PETA.
anyone think that the pig looks more like it was sniffing hi-liters? :O

O M F G

Radioactive mutant vampire space piggies! :O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O

A couple of years ago in school we used DNA from some jellyfish to make bacteria glow in the dark :P

When they get sleepy, they emit a softer, more gentle glow that relaxes and helps induce sleep. Similar to night lights.

See Beerend? Your idea was feasible after all! :D
