Woohoo!

Gmail has now got a POP3 Server, which means you can use it with Outlook, Thunderbird, etc. However, it did take ages to syncronise 300+ emails :(

Plus they are now offering 2067meg! :O

i'm honestly not flaming, but pop3 for gmail has been working for a couple of months now... :|

i found it took aaggeeesss to download mail... obviously it would do i guess :)

Yeah, I was about that say that, have been using Gmail with Thunderbird for a while now. But thanks for telling the people who don't yet know it ;)

Works with my msnplus as well for ages. Saves me valuable seconds every day!

lol that would be godly

dont downlaod from it, make gmail forward them to your inbox so like [email protected]/

cos that ways its faster and you only dled frmo one server, thats what i do, thusly i have a web archive of all my email whihc i dont have to look at but i know its there:)

Also using a POP3 client, you can send eMail larger than 10MB... with a trick.
;)

i didn't know this and somehow it doesn't surprise me.
Google is great

now lets just hope Microsoft's evil eye doesn't jinx it.. :(

Anyone have any spare invites?

Thanks mate. Used simmo's invitation in the end. He sent me two!! :O

Bloody showoff!

I mean, there's sensible inviting practice, and then there's overkill!

pop3 with gmail? looks like i'm moving from yahoo. i was really angry when yahoo charged for their pop3 server. hopefully google won't get wise to that.
