Gman : good or bad?

I've read a hell lot of things about the Gman the last 2 days here.

But do you think he's a good guy or a bad guy?

There's something about his twisted grimace, his sickening voice, and the fact that he forces you to work for him or die, that makes me think bad.

I would have said he's not all bad, since he sends Gordon to save Earth, but after seeing him force Gordon into servitude at the end, now I think he's bad.

Is he really bad? He saved City 17 ... but we don't for what purpose though ... well having seen him with the resistance and talking to a Vortigaunt means he's a good guy.

He's blatently an omnipitent god-figure, manipulating you for your great powers where they're needed - needed for whom? who knows.

For now, he is good, but only because it suits his purpose.

I think he's using Gordon to do all his dirty deeds for him. Although I voted GOOD...

I always feel safe when I see him thoughout the game, someone that looks after me.

It seems he is pro human, but i think his part in the greater story is so much deeper than the insignificant existance on earth, im pictureing many dimensional beings locked in some massive war, and earths just kinda got caught up in it, and gordon has become a mercinery pawn, for dealing with sticky situations.

I think he is above good or evil, whatever his intentions it's as if he is merely the messenger, perhaps not even corporeal, instead only existing in your head.

whatever he is, he has been manipulating you from day one, and he is one hell of a cool character.
