Gman..?.. where in the what now?

I heard about the Gman .. walking around making guest appearances like in HL1,, as your playing through the scenes...

So anyway... I must be blind!, i didnt spot him once..

too distracted by everything else maybe?

use your collective knowledge to tell me where and what chapters he appears....

So I can play through those sections again to see if I can actually spot the dude.

I saw him on one of the bridges over the canal in the airboat sequence.

remember half-life 2 doesn't just tell you everything.... you have to play it again and again and savour it to rally notice things... he was there quite a few times...

He is alot harder to spot in this game since he is usually alot further away but yes he does make quite a few appearances.

He's on the walkway of the red barn right at the beginning of Water Hazard, and he's also there at the end of Water Hazard, when you walk up to that big building on the far side of the lake where you fight the copter, walk around the corner and look across to the concrete ledge on the other side of the river, you'll see him.

yea, in hl1 he was there for quite a while, but always just out of reach, in this game he is only there for a split second, then he is gone..


i turned a corner and i saw a TV with him on it, it turned off, i saw him chatting someone up in a survaliance camera, he walked offscreen...

Do these appearances mean anything? Does it point to something hidden? And also: those little hl2 symbols all over the map. Do those signify anything either?

He was in Ravenholm? Hmmm...did he have a headcrab on his face?

Once I finish, I do believe I'll have to play through a second time...a much slower "walking tour" of HL2. Heck, "Find the G-Man" (which is MUCH easier then "Find the G-Spot") could be the next "Where's Waldo?"

That's the lambda symbol from the first one, and now it's the insignia for the resistance. Look at the armbands of the resistance members later in the game; they have the same symbol on them.

i believe the lambda symbols are a mark of the resistance, and they mean there is a supply cache or goodies there, or sometimes a passage you might not normally find.

And also: those little hl2 symbols all over the map. Do those signify anything either?

The little Lambda symbols seem to be near either entrances to rebel bases or secret supplies.

thats why im going to play it again, and again, till my brain explodes from all the detail
