Im new to modeling, I started at the weekend with Gmax of PCZone Coverdisk :)

Ive made a transpot plane model in Gmax (see picture) and I know its bad, but its mine :) As im hoping to put it into HL2 and they will give out a XSI exporter/free program I've downloaded XSI EXP. Does anyone know how I can get my model from .gmax into a file XSI will read. Any ideas?

P.S. any similarities to the Halo Pelican are purely conicidental :)

If you made it look a lil more techy it'd look kinda like a Warhammer 40K Thunder Hawk gunship :).

No idea about your question, it all depends on what each can import/export and since they're both demos I would think very little. Hopefully some one else will chime in :)

look at Milkshape. btw, we dont know what files the free version of XSi will be able to read / have in it, same as u.

I mean get it into XSI EXP, Which I have downloaded :)

im sure it wont be that hard to do... gmax is just a cut down verson of 3d studio and i think you can export 3d studio files

fins someone with 3dsmax, get them to convert to .3ds, then use that to import into XSI

prity good. Maybe get rid of some out of place polgons, unless u have like the smoothness setting to about 500. The lighting isn;t working correctly and it looks like its dodge. Like urrrrr bumpy.
