Gmod 9 maplist problems, freezes on connection (join multiplayer)

Well, something majorly screwed up, I don't know when, how or why, but I've tried multiple ways to fix it, including reinstallation of Gmod.

When I start the game I get this console log

GetAllManifestFiles: Unable to load maplist.txt
execing valve.rc
CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: No such map 'none'
map load failed: none not found or invalid

And whenever I join (and probarly start, never tried though) a multiplayer game, tried various servers, it starts loading like it should. Those last seconds of "Sending client data", just before you're supposed to get into the server, that's when it either freezes or instantly crashes.

Does anyone have an idea to WHY valve.rc, or whatever causes the problem, screwed up, and HOW to fix it?

Bump, bump.

I have this same problem, right now. Anyone have a fix to it?

Likewise, I have tried reinstalling. I have even updated all graphics and hardware drivers, re-installed them, re-installed steam, Garrys mod, and still, this same problem keeps being here.

Any suggestions? Please, ANYTHING..
