Hi guys,

I've encountered a wierd problem about 4 days ago. I've was playing gm_contruct when the power suddenly went out, it lasted all night.
In the morning I decided to play around with Gmod again.

Now for some reason this pops up in the middle of loading:

Any idea on how to fix this? Some maps work, but most of them don't work anymore.

I would also want to learn how to fix the pesky Physics Penetration problem. Everytime I start a working map all doodads including character
models, fall through the floor until everything reaches the bottom.

what version of gmod do you have?
also it could be possible that the power going out ruined something in your computer.

You're pretty lucky you can run Gmod9 as it is. I'm assuming you're doing it under Source SDK Base?

Gmod 9.0.4

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I don't play Counter Strike/Source. The only reason I got it is to use Gmod.

The only levels I am able to play in Gmod9(Half-Life2) are the Death Match levels.

i dont think version 9 and below use sourcesdk base. your best off reinstalling the program. also i think ive had that problem before. it was only when i wanted to host my own server. playing single player was fine though. most likely gmod 9 is not fixed properly for the latest source build.

I also have another problem. It confuses me, how do I update this driver?
When I checked they only had X300 and up :( my poor little X200 can't upgrade. Now how am I suppose to play episode one? :(

It's a mobile graphics chip it's onboard a laptop or PC instead of a separate card. Check the manufacturer's website and see you there is a graphic or chipset update for your computer model or motherboard.

dam

i did the thing with the Garry's mod and uummm...thing.

Right click Garry's Mod on Steam
Choose Properties
In the window that appears, click Launch Options
In the text box that appears, type '-dxlevel 70'
Press OK to close all the boxes

Now try to run Garry's Mod.

ok i did this and it f****ed up my Gmod even more. How can I fix this?
