I posted the following site some time ago which was really cool:

http://academicearth.org/

This is a collection of various lectures from university courses from Stanford, Yale and others.

Today someone pointed me to this site:

http://www.khanacademy.org

Although these aren't actual university lectures (atleast from the ones I seen) this is still really cool. Doesn't cover as many topics but the ones it does it seems to cover them in much more detail.

I used Khan academy to help me learn some math back in my GED days.

Did you have good luck with it? I've only had a chance to watch a couple videos. They seem a bit scattered at times but they do seem to go in to some interesting detail.

The long now foundation do some really good academic podcasts: -

(also on the itunes for free).

Effectively they have guest lecturers come along and give a couple of hours talk about long term thinking for humanity from a variety of different disciplines, like Anthropology, biology, etc etc once a month.

Pretty good generally, and always full of interesting facts. There's lectures going all the way back to 2004 as well.

Ehh... it had some positives and negatives.

I was just watching them on youtube.

Remember using this for chemistry help. Very helpful, and anyone struggling with any math or science subject should really check this site out.

Approved.
I'm fed up of seeing science videos targeted at an audience with an IQ of the average daytime TV viewer.
