God I HATE CD keys.

Alright, lets PLEASE hurry this along. I just finished with HL2's five disk installation, and now, as crazy as it is, I have to register to play.

Alright, FINE. Well I enter the CD that was very well hidden on the backside of one of my CD paper-folders, and entered it. However it refuses to take it.

At one point in the CD key, they have to drop a line to make more room, in which the normal dash every five digits is broken. I have tried it exactly like its printed, I have inserted digits, I have put digits in all but the end, I've tried it WITHOUT digits, I've checked over it several times to make sure its right, but it still won't take the stupid thing.

I swear, why even put a CD-key today? There are so many ways around it, it only hurts decent paying customers. :frown:

It sounds like you're trying to enter the serial number as well.

Hmm, yeah. I think you may be right. I do wish they would clearly state the difference...

If it almost instantly tells you. you have entered the wrong cd key, it means you are either inputting it wrong or there is another cd key like sequence of number in the box.

You should be putting in a set of 5 numbers or letters 5 times.
