well, for christmas, im going for 512mb rams, and i was wondering if there can be any possible conflictions with anything? low power supply? or anything? there any warnings i should know of? thanks in advance.

you should have no problems at all ram dosent take much power so no worries but do u have 1 512 stick now or are you just adding 2 512 sticks because your better off with a 1gig stick

i got two 256mbs and im planning to get two 512s. i dont know about a entire gig stick, i dont know if there are different kinds of slots for ram, so im trying not to take a chance.

know your better off with a 1 gig stick so then later if you still have the same computer you can go to 2 gigs

Just check and make sure that the type of RAM is compatable with your mobo. Weather it be PC-3200 or whatever.

well you could take one of the ram sticks out and it should say what is it on the sticker

What motherboard do you have? Check the manual or the website for compatable memory.

my motherboard is really old, and isnt listed anymore on the website of the manufacturers, i figured out that a long time ago.

hmmm me thinks it might be pc2100 but if you dont know it dosent matter at all as long as its DDR which im sure it is then the pc3200 will clock down to w/e speed your motherboard supports. But if what you mean by really old pc133 then goodluck finding that plus its exspensive
