you can vote on the website if you want. i just wanted to get an idea of what you guys would pick for those categories. you don't have to vote for categories that you don't know much about. also if you could give a reason why you chose the game.

my list would be:

1. Thief: Deadly Shadows - nothing else really grabbed my attention apart from Riddick, and that was put in the shade by this
2. Beyond Good & Evil - refreshing, and the bird looks like Alyx
3. -don't know enough but picked Max Payne
4. Colin McRae Rally 04 - only PS2 game i've really played
5. Unreal Tournament 2004 - the site has HL2 and Doom III on there but i haven't played either, so right now this is my choice for being super fun
6. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero - best choice out of the list really
7. Rockstar Games - couldn't think of anyone else :/
8. Amazon - always reliable and low prices
9. EyeToy - best choice on the list
10. Pro Evolution Soccer 4 - Pro Evo 3 was fun, 4 will take it to another level
11. Brothers in Arms - looks quality
12. Half-Life 2 - haven't played it yet but damn, looks better than anything else that'll be released this year.

2004 isnt' nearly over yet, and this fall looks to easily have some of the best games ever. Half-Life 2, Halo 2, Metroid Prime 2, Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas, MGS3, Gran Turismo 4, Paper Mario 2, Fable... I could go on. I don't understand how the voting has already began and it's August...

yea its so stupid that they do this now when theres still loads of games to come out...should be voting in dec.

Your votes will decide who will be this year's Golden Joystick Awards winners. Vote now and be automatically entered in our fantastic prize draw to WIN. To be included games must have been released between 14th November to 29th October 2004.

On 5th November the whole industry will be attending The Golden Joystick Awards 2004 to find out who will be the big winners this year. It is a glamorous industry only-event at The Park Lane on Piccadilly...

maybe read the site and be a little positive next time eh?

don't vote if you don't want to, i said that in the original post. but do you guys have any suggestions as to who you'd like to see win certain awards, instead of posting how pointless you think this is?

Well there are still games to come between now and october 29th, but I apologize for not reading the site first :D.

I'll vote for the ones that I can:
2. Tale Of Symphonia(not sure why it isn't on the list...)
5. Far Cry(HL2 will no doubt beat this IF it's out before October 29th)
6. Condition Zero(nothing good there)
7. Nintendo(always makes good games)
8. Amazon(only one I use)
9. GBA SP – NES Classic Edition
10. Half-Life 2(If I get it before xmas then my vote goes to Metroid Prime 2)
11. Legend Of Zelda(will be amazing, not sure about 2005 release though)
12. Half-Life 2(Of Course)

If I were to vote now, I would choose these:

1. XBOX Game of the Year (Chronicles of Riddick)
2. GAMECUBE Game of the Year (Beyond Good And Evil)
3. HANDHELD Game of the Year (Legend Of Zelda)
4. PS2 Game of the Year (Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon)
5. PC Game of the Year (Max Payne 2)
6. ONLINE Game of the Year (Battlefield Vietnam)
7. PUBLISHER of the Year (Nintendo)
8. GAMES RETAILER of the Year (GAME)
9. NEW HARDWARE of the Year (EyeToy)
10. MOST WANTED GAME for Xmas 2004 (Half-Life 2)
11. MOST ANTICIPATED GAME for 2005 (Metal Gear Solid 3)
12. THE ULTIMATE GAME of the Year (Beyond Good And Evil)

But I'm not going to vote now. :)
