Red wins so often...

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Why do you think Valve removed the door?

what door?

and of course it's biased...defensive positions are always more favorable.

Door please...

They could put a roof over the bridge near the last point. Could make it a little easier for the attacking team as it would block the sentries line of fire.

Na, the idea of that Bridge is to have fire coming at you from all sides. Especially if you note the small bunker down inside the canyon which leads up to a little sniper nest.

I wouldn't say it's biased, it's just that it's much easier to kill blues and do just that to defend, whereas in my experience a lot of blues don't even go near the cart, but just try to get frags. So it's down to the players really.

lol, medic achievements most likely

The data show is collected over the previous 7 days, so after the door was removed.

Playing on Blu can be hard against a competent Red team, especially on the final stretch. I'd probably look at moving the entrance to the tunnel further back making it easier for Blu to get to. I would take a look at Blu spawn times on the final part too, without some Engineers for telelports (reducing Blu's offensive capability) it's a long walk back to the front lines.

What F*cking Door!!!?

Oh...that door...

I knew that. Just thought you ment one of the doors from Cap 1 into the Cap 2 zone is all.

I liked that door though, doesnt make anything better by not having it, only worse.

I only find it to be a problem when I'm defending.

It was a big advantage to Red, removing it has made things much easier for Blu. This is good, it's only the 2nd point it used to be easier to defend than the 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Yea but getting through A was never that hard to begin with. I think I've only ever been held back from A once, with a shit team. Some changes to B and C would be welcome, but A is easy as it is.

B is perfect. No changing needed. Maybe a few changes on Stage 3, like maybe a new tunnel which opens up after BLU capture Point 2, allow them to reach the front line faster. Cause REDs can just respawn and be straight back in the fight. BLU have to walk for ages just to reach the front line again, and by then 20 seconds have passed and the card is coming back towards you.

I wasn't trying to gloat. I'm rather shit for the most part. But getting A does seem pretty easy.

The delay in RED's respawn time is meant to ensure that both teams meet at similar times. Also, engineers can lay down teleports to speed up BLU's travel. I think the main thing causing BLU to lose so much is that no one (especially soldiers, snipers, and spies) really use the alternate route to the last point on Stage 3. It provides an excellent vantage point to pretty much all sentry gun positions and also terrific cover against enemy fire. Sniping from the windows there also attracts little attention because RED hardly ever covers it.

That side place is great for flanking, if you can get an engie base setup in there, teles and sentries and all, makes as much difference as controlling the little tunnel in dustbowl 3.2.

In my opinion, removing that door didn't do much. Rocket jumping, sticky jumping, and dispenser hopping make it easy enough to still set up a base up there.

I saw a guy manage to get a little engie-fort set up in the balcony area of Goldrush 2 on the defending team before they lost the first point. Any ideas how? I tried dispenser hopping and you can't jump high enough even to place a 'porter down, which is how I think he did it.

Which balcony?

Goldrush 2, when you're attacking, at the first checkpoint, there's a door to the left. Just go through that and up the stairs and you'll be on the second floor baclony. On the left side of that second floor balcony, a defending engie managed to set up a porter up there before the attacking team got the first checkpoint.

Ah, okay. Is a lvl 3 sentry taller than a dispenser?

They have the same hitbox, from what I remember.

A sentry lvl1 has the same hitbox as a sentry lvl3... I think.

And by hitbox I mean space where you can jump on and levitate.

You mean here? You can use the dispenser to jump up there.

If there's an image there, I can't see it.

That would be GR stage 1, Operational. I believe Jintor was talking about stage 2.. That would be a wicked place for a defense teleport though.

I can see the Image now, and no, not there, that's Goldrush 1.

I'll try and get a screenshot next time I go online.

He probably used an exploit to double-jump as an engy to put the tele down
