does anybody know any good action animes with nice looking chicks?
but not so confusing as Evangelion
Im looking for the kind of anime with big Robots fighting eachother...but plz for gods sake NO BIG O that sucks big time :cheese:
 
Cowboy Bebop? *shrugs* I know nothing of anime, just heard it mentioned before.

FMA is a good one you should watch it. I would also suggest Full Metal Panic.

Here's a description:

In this world, there exist people with special abilities to manipulate objects and transform those objects into other objects. These people are known as alchemist. However, this manipulation process does not come without cost, as the basic alchemy rules stated that something with equivalent cost is needed to perform the manipulation.

The main character is a famous alchemist named Edward Elric, who loses his little brother Alphonse in an accident. Edward manages to contain his brother's soul in a large piece of armor suit. However, merging the soul and body of the dearly departed comes with great cost, so the two brothers must embark on a journey to find a mysterious power amplifier which can reduce the cost to manipulate objects greatly.

I'd also suggest Last Exile:

If you're into a kinda drama/romance I'd also suggest Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien:

Narumi Takayuki is a third year high school student, who doesn't study very much for the college entrance exams. However, he is wasting his days neither studying nor being able to find anything else interesting to do.

His friends Taira Shinji and Hayase Mizuki are both busy with studying and swimming, so Takayuki is left feeling very alone.

Another action one is Hellsing:

And one of my personal favorites Gun Grave, which I would suggest skipping the first episode because it contains spoilers. I would also skip reading a description because of spoilers also. Just know that it is A+ awesome.

Robots are overrated. Go watch Naruto. It's about ninja's fighting instead.

Oh yeah, Full Metal Panic is a robot show just to let you know.
 
For some reason, I thought Ghost in the Shell was about big robots. I have no idea where I got that idea from. And it's not as if I hadn't seen the film before.

So the point is: Ghost in the Shell doesn't have big robots in it.
 
From a person that just kinda started getting into anime not too long ago. Go with Naruto (Ninjas), Hellsing (Vampires), Bleach (Death Gods & Demons aka Hollows), One Piece (Pirates).
 
Trigun and FLCL, as always. Good for a bit of recreational thematic and symbolic analysis. CB's a bit shallow for that, and most of everything else I've seen isn't too hot. FMA is one of the worst, with no cohesive arc whatsoever.
 
I'm not much into anime, but I did enjoy Akira and the compilation of all 8 films in what is called The Animatrix.

animatrix dvd/soundtrack cd combo = excellent.
 
I agree, Animatrix (and soundtrack of Animatrix) is great!
Its my favourite anime.
