Good antivirus software?

I'm looking for some real good antivirus software that both scans files when you access them (Like Norton does) and low on resources.

I don't want Norton, I've had it before and I dislike it. At the moment I use AVG 7 but it seems to only bother checking for viruses when you tell it too.

Don't mind paying for one either.

I use AVG. You can set it to check when and where to if you need. I always have it scan while I sleep.

I use trend micro. I believe they have a free trial but I paid for my copy and it catches everything. I often bl .exe torrents and have no problem running them.

Free trialed it. Powerful stuff. Found 9 viruses on a quick scan that AVG7 didn't even see on a deep scan!

Very powerful tool, literally scans every corner. Think I'll purchase it when the trial dies.
