Good Gaming Headphones?

im building a PC for HL2 and all the new upcoming games, and im putting it in my room. My room is right next to my sister's, and I don't think she would like it if I blast HL2 with 5.1 speakers late at night. So, I am looking for a pair of nice sounding headphones for gaming, anyone have any good suggestions on a particular model, or tips on buying good headphones?

^yes they make the best phones. but their bass support kinda lacks. but if you want bass, just turn your speakers

sennheiser do have the best headphones IMO tho.

I've heard Plantronics make some excellent headphones and the mic's are supposed to be really good as well.

i have some sony infa-red headphones (wireless), they're really good for late night gamin, though they are kind tight, hurt your ears eventually ;(

I have a pair of sennheiser hd 433 they are over 10 years old now and they are still going strong. the sound quailty on them are good 2.
i'd highly reccomend them

yep, sennheiser all the way. i've got a pair of HD497s and a brand new pair of HD500s (damn expensive!). very sturdy and reliable, excellent sound quality. my 497s have superb bass. the HD500 model is just a monster, but HD497 is generally a very good value for money option at around £40 ($60-70).
