good morning world, time for your dose of xenopobia

I don't like the idea of cultures dieing out, especially if it's my culture D:

Interesting video.

I've seen that before and I believe it was just an extrapolation of current growth rates into the future. I doubt it works like that in reality though, I mean, we too used to breed like that in the past, but that declined as wealth, education and independence of women increased. I bet future generations will be more moderate and Western.

playing the devils advocate here...but

yes of course, this might happen after our culture has been overrun. doesn't matter that much after that happens.

here's some additional interesting reading

It's obvious, apparently. Islam is the true religion. :l

I like how his tone was mostly "WE'RE DOOMED" but at the end he was like "love thy neighbor" then reiterated "TAKE ACTION."

The guys voice reminds me of the 'Boss' in the game Crackdown..

Honestly, it sounds just like him IMO.

Spooky.

Also, interesting video!

Does this guy take into consideration AT ALL the sheer number of children who are not born into nuclear families?

Also, I doubt these fertility rates in european countries are much different than they were back hundreds and hundreds of years ago, and these cultures are still here.

Unwarranted extrapolations mixed with baseless xenophobia.

Gotta love racists.

had that as my sig for a bit,it's math not xenophobia.

The theoretic aspect of an issue seldom matches to the practical aspect. Just because there's a current increase in islamic belief around the world, doesn't mean this increase will be sustained until everyone is islamic. The increasing rate will decrease and I would guess that eventually the amount of islamic believers will as well.

I know for a fact in Sweden it did, especially among poorer working families, where children were much needed help, it was not at all uncommon for a low-class Swedish family in the early 1900s to have upwards of 6-7 children.

My grandmother on my mother's side came from such a family.

To be honest, I don't find myself concerned about this one bit. I'll be concerned about Islam itself for other reasons, and not this birth rate nonsense.

did you actually watch the video?

I think that the "evil" notion of Islam as the religion of terrorism will slowly dissipate as higher education is reached by the Muslims living within 1st world nations. The spread of liberal Islamic spirititualism will spread as the new generation sees the xenophobia that their elders might have towards the Christians and if their elders don't then it will bring forward new understanding.

Edit: I just re-read over that and I have no idea whatsoever what I was trying to say...

I can just see it now, islam will become the official religion of every country in the world.

I lived in a muslim country for 2 months and i couldn't bare it.

Not allowed to wear shorts, must ware pants at all times.
No bacon
No alchole
No cigeretts
islamic mosque on every corner
prayer bell going off 5 times a day, 5am, 10pm
Must grow beard.
All woman must wear the veil.

wishful thinking.

here's some anecdotal evidence.

4 years ago in my town we had zero kebab makers (don't know what is the correct word). now we about five of them.
also muslim women (with veils) and men with beards are seen much more often out in the streets.

That bloke seems to be confusing culture with people. What an alarmist dickhead. He takes statistics out of his ass and makes up bullshit stories. He also shows that he has no clue what he's talking about by confusing the terms he's using. "In 39 years, France will be an Islamic Republic." Bullshit. An Islamic Republic is a system of government, not something that is obtained just because the majority of the people are Muslim. How the **** does he know what political system France will have in 39 years?

wishful thinking.

Before Iran was overrun by Islamic fundamentalists it was the most progressive country of the Middle-East and massively different from what it is now.

I remember having this argument before on this forum about how it's not the religion that's the problem, but Fundamentalism that's the problem.

Imagine if a cabal of Christian fundamentalists were in power in America? It'd be Iran without the burka's.

You can try them if you want, we sell the leftovers at kebab shops. Yes, even the kebab shops are part of our Giant Conspiracy to Destroy European Culture(tm).

Yeah they sound very similar.

I love Crackdown.

Thread is now about Crackdown.

in 300 years everyone will be tan. thats at least what a lot of people are saying

UHG, I know. I was getting more pissed as I watched like. MORE AND MORE OF THE evil MUSLIMS WILL infiltrate MOVE INTO CHRISTIAN AREAS BOO RAH YOU'RE SCARED SCARY DEEP "THIS SHIT IS SERIOUS" VOICE. Honestly.

****.

Pretty sure the video is directed at Christians, not the general audience. Obviously you're going to disagree with it.

It may be sensationalist xenophobia but look at historic societies of with mass immigration, Rome, Australia and the Americas. In every case the new culture took over.

Europe won't be islamic in 50 years but maybe in 200.

Religions vs religions are stupid. It causes a lot of conflict. I'm not going to support anything that furthers that ridiculousness.

Nowhere near. There are many examples of fusions being created.

Ptolmaic Egypt. Norman England. Huguenot immigration to England. Viking settlements across the British Isles. Christian settlement during the Crusades. The Spanish Moors.

does that mean even fusion of culture?

like retaining some old habits (freedom of speech, equality...) and adding a few new ones (beating and humiliating your wife, censor illegal content, stoning to death,...).
ok i'm kidding but you get the point.

Of those only the Viking settlements in the British Isles, I would call mass immigration. The rest were relatively small numbers of immigrants compared to the populations they immigrated too and generally a military aristocracy rather than workers/farmers.

As for viking assimilation, the british isles were originally celtic , a culture that has been wiped out, by germanic immigration. Anglo-saxon culture and scandinavian culture were quite similar and both were replaced by christain anglo-norman culture.

Blame thyself. The human element is to blame, so it can stop it if it pleases. Humanity should be able to manage it's own creations.

I think it's funny how everyone now thinks Islam is a race.
Continue, plebs.

But you're wrong, the new culture didn't just "take over" like you said. A new one was created with elements from the old and the new.

How about the Irish Plantation? Was the native Irish culture in Ulster eliminated by the Scots? They achieved economic and political supremacy - through methods with no comparison to Islamic immigration - but not cultural.

Anyway this alarmist bullshit is just alarmist bullshit. Even if huge numbers of immigrants come to our countries they aren't going to take over.
Ever noticed that immigrant populations tend to stick together a lot geographically? First gen at least, often second too. e.g. in the UK London, Sheffield etc. have been the major destinations. So in this hypothetical doomsday scenario they'll still only manage to get a small minority of parliamentary seats unless a pattern of settlement established for millenia is suddenly upset.
