anyone know any good sites for freeware games? thanks

or, if you can't run some DOS games (Stupid XP), then go to www.gamehippo.com - they're really good. I get lots of games off them.

What?! you trying to tell me you dont have a 486 sitting under you desk with a mem man bootdisk in the disk drive! :D

Most DOS games can be run under XP using DOSBox.:)

DOSBox runs games really badly.
Wolf3D runs slow as hell.

All DOS games I run on my gaming comp using DOSBox runs perfectly, you just need to tweak the CPU speed etc a lil bit and then each game runs like a charm+ussually DOSBox requires a pretty fast comp to run "recent" DOS games in a good speed.

I've told him in a similar thread that you need to increase the CPU cycles in the DOSBox config.

preset was 3000, I set mine to 10000.*

runs perfectly fast now **

*caution don't increase more than you have to
**Your results may vary

Indeed, like say when you run Scorched Earth you need to turn the CPU cycles down to 500, I forgot it one time and the shot went at light-speed and I went like "WOAH!" lol.:p

Also, you can increase CPU cycles in real time in DOSBox by pressing, I think it was F11 for less and F12 for more.

Neithr Underdogs, nor Abandonia are freeware sites. They are abandonware sites, and they're not always strictly legal.
