You can make any type of music with a sequencer...

I highly recommend FL Studio (Fruity Loops) for a starter program, it's much simpler and friendly than Reason.

reason is great, only downside is lack of VST support and audio-in. but it's very versatile and easy to use once you learn the program.

to me it sounds like you'd be better off with fruity loops though.

there's a demo but you can't save in it either, and the full version is about $400. these things cost, man.
