Well done .

Ooh... he looks cranky.

Someone stole his shotgun...

Very nice. Is it going to be full body in the end?

I dont know if I'm gonna do full body or just a bust. If enough people like what im doin, then I'll consider doing his full body. I didnt really plan on it originaly though.

That looks pretty nice, although the perspective seems to be a tad screwy. Did you do that with a Wacom?
Yup. I'm a wacom n00b. Still trying to get a hang of it.

Gordon certainly looks ready to kick some alien ass, gj.

Well this is gettin better feedback then I woulda though, If I'm up to it I'll draw Barney and Gordon Back to back. (still questioning the full body thing)

Not bad, but he really does look 'cranky,' lol.

Big Update! Hate having to resize it... you lose so much detail.

Nice.. I love the hair, but he looks a little pale, but then again I'd probably be pale if I went through what he did...

His glasses seem a little off though. The.. thing, i don't know what it's called, on his nose, looks way too thick, but other than that it's great. I wish I could draw like that.

I purposely made him pale, the glasses are far from done, and I wish I knew what you were talking about the nose.

lol sorry, I had just woken up when I posted that. The part of his glasses resting on his nose

Wow man , those colors are awesome.

Crits: The eye is a lil' too big, the whole image lacks some depth, the front on the suit looks too flat..But other than that it looks great, especially the hair and the whole coloring!

What kind of Wacom do you have? I've "borrowed" my brothers graphire 2 thingie, I don't know if it's good or bad compared to the rest of their stuff.

Update. Still hate resizing the image... Needa get webhosting.

That's really quite good. But the colours on the HEV seem to be a bit off and also the neck chainmail-thingy looks a bit dodgy.

The colors were done by memory so they probibly wont be exact. Most of it was done by memory actualy. As for the chain mail, thats about the best I knew to do. Took me forever to do it too.

i agree with the poster that mentioned about the glasses resting on the nose looks a bit off.. but u said u weren't finished with the glasses.. anyway, looking good.. wish i could draw half as good as that.. :)

Awwww man! I want a Tablet SOOOOO bad! Ohhh it would make my animations go by sooo much quicker! And I could draw whatever I want without scanning and overlining... I'm getting one for my B-Day for sure.

About the drawing... Very nice!! Good form and excellent coloring!!! What do you use, Paint Shopt Pro? I wanna do that! The chainamail really looked hard, and I believe that one guy was talking about the 'Bridge' of his nose being too thick.
Hmmm... I smell chicken, gotta go!

what program are you using for the color painting?
Photoshop. Havent worked on it the past few days... needa get back on it. (the HEV suit is hard)

hmmmmm....i hate to sound a tad n00bish but....
whats a wacom? some sort of art program??
and hey, u have to learn somewhere......
amaaaaaazing picture. all the criticism is correct, but easily fixed.

Well, I finally got back around to doin this some more. Might have it done by the end of the weekend if I'm lucky. I must admit this has been a big learning process for me.

Suicide: A wacom is a type of computer art tablet, that uses an electronic pen or 'stylus' wihc allows you to draw directly into the computer. I think.

Pretty much. Put simply its a drawing pad for your computer.

Well I finally finished it. I'm somewhat satisfyed with it. Hope it gets on the Fan art section on the website. I uploaded the one with lighting FX and the unaltered version.

wow... i really do mean it when i say that those look utterly *****ing amazing..... the 1 with blood and that is dimmed is the best :)

Heh, thanks. Color and detail wise I love what I managed to do. Perspective wise I'm a bit upset with it. But thats ok. It was my first real project usin a Wacom. I also rushed a big on the lighting and shading so I might re-do those in the future sometime.

It's very very very good. But! But! Yes, but. I have some suggestions. To my eye, Gordon's face seems too smooth and 'young', he has a more lined face with quite a pronounced jowl line. Also, the chainmail still looks silly. Oh who cares it's brilliant.

I've learned a lot from this, so I'll try to apply it to any future drawings I make. Especially if I decide to do annother Gordon picture. Thanks for the feedback!

The second one from the first post on this page is the best in my opinion, and it is excellent. Although there seems to be a bit of a perspective issue, although I can't articulate it, it looks very nice. The red lighting in the first doesn't flow too well in my opinion. Awesome job!

By the way, do you mind if I ask who Jamie is?
Yeah, I realised the perspective problem after I started coloring. I also was rather siapointed with the lighting in all factors, be it the shades or light. I'm gonna revise it sometime.
Jamie has been perhaps one of my best friends whom was sent away to a boarding school for a very long time (will be commin back home soon). Needless to say I've missed her a lot. (no communication allowed until recently where I've gotten phone calls once a month for a few min since Christmas day).
