Logic would suggest that it is actually a painting of the digital variety, and is most likely the work of Dhabih who is currently employed at valve, and whose style closely resembles the artwork in question.

Yeah he's always done a great effort to stay in-char. Wonder what he is like in real-life though. If he quotes Vulcans and makes the V-sign all the time, I don't think I could stand the man though. By the way he HAS made a spelling error in the past though, which of course spock or tuvok would never do, considering it would be illogical to do so.
