Got a call from my bank...

They told me that Gamespy industries has been charging me monthly and it looks suspicious. It is indeed as I have not bought an account or anything there. THe charge is recurring and is for $10 a month. To my knowledge I have never made an account. The bank asked if I wanted to file fraud, I told them no as Gamespy is reputable and I wanted to research this more. I sent an e-mail to their support...I think it was just product support but that was the best I could find.

Does anyone know of any way to find out if I have an account or what games use gamespy for their online servers as I have many MMO/online games and maybe didn't cancel a subscription.

I looked and couldnt find anything on gamespy except product support.

It was a recurring charge for about 6 months...IDK why they said it was suspicious but they did.

I didnt know either till I just checked.
If you would have went to GameSpy.com, clicked the link under "Contact Us", which is really where you should have checked first, you would have seen IGN's logo everywhere and see the "Corporate" link to check it.


Anyway, you have their number now.

or someone has his card number? had a similar instance where i ordered from an online shop and they had a security leak, weeks later small £10 deductions appeared on my statement each month.

i'm not surprised the bank called you, in the UK they have to pay back any fraudulent payments and then pursue the company for rembursment
