got a laptop, can\t figure out webcam

got a laptop today for christmas and everything has been going pretty well aside from one little fact that I can't figure out how to work the webcam.

I have a HP DV2500 and it uses quickplay software. (I don\t like the interface at all) before the webcam would turn on, now not so much.

can anyone help me out?

Did you install drivers, updated Window's hardware/Software from Microsoft download?

If web-cam isn't turning on, its probably driver either not installed or improperly installed.

Call HP support in India, see what they say.
HP had one of the good "On-Call" support back then, but I don't know if they still got it.
