got disappointed?..

if u saw the new shots and got disappointed (as me ) then i've got some tips for you :
A) watch ALL the Bink movies all over again!!!!!!!!
B) look at this shots :

Who knows what is going on in Valve's PR brain, but I think it's safe to assume they haven't downgraded the graphics over the last year, so there must be some other explanation.

on the g-man screen i noticed how horrible the textures are for his suit, but that's a really old shot so i hope it's a lot better now

nothing personnal, but that vid can get a tad irritating with all those glooming things... the citadel by distance however, THAT i found really impressive... whats so special about shiny surfaces nowadays?

EDIT- i must correct myself for i feel like a jerk, the citadel by distance, not impressive, just makes me wanna go there by foot

I'm not disappointed at all, just a bit weirded out by Valve's apparent lack of quality PR when it comes to some of the screenshot's they've released (floating zombies come to mind)

Number two reminds me of the graphics of prerendered backgrounds in adventure games, except, not only will HL2 have crazy graphics, the gameplay will be awesome as well (from what we have read and from all basic logic).

I think Pic 3 looks good too , a quik glimpse of what culd happen if combines capture u or ur allies , i hope we see this going on alot in city-17 b/c it wuld give the game a nice fugitive feeling
