Well, first of all, I would like to say that it is great that the site is back up and that there are no 'history problems'. Pauly and I were worried that we would have to re-register on these forums.
Anyway, back on topic. I got a new Internet browser, Firefox, a few weeks ago. I know, not really new, but the forums were down for almost a month!:D:p :rolling: I was wondering, for all of you that have Firefox, if there are any secrets or hints I should know about. ;) And, also, what browsers do you guys use?

ray_MAN is back!

I use MYIE2, not bad, I like how it has skins. I was going to use firefox but decided against it. How is it?

Firefox is pretty good. It has skins, it converts your IE favorites, and it is nice and speedy. On the other hand, some sites are not all compatable with it, it has trouble opening links sometimes, and worst of all at times it is frustratingly slow. I am currently looking for a new browser, but I can't find one.

I use Avant, which is a shell for IE with tabbed browsing etc.

I used FF and IE. FF without plugins deliberatly, for when I want to avoid flash nightmare :)

Moved to Hardware, Software & Troubleshooting

I use firefox because it is awesome. never slow for me, and a lot more functional than IE. plus, the quick searches are great.

I cannot belive you changed your name! ;( ;( ;( Out with the old, and in with the new, I guess. I never realized you could talk about Hardware and Software in that forum. I always thought it was just hardware and software troubleshooting.

I use the Opera browser, can convert IE bookmarks, auto-block popups if you want, custom skins, faster and so far more reliable than IE, and you can also tell it to identify as IE if you want maximum compatibility from websites.

The only real downside is that it isn't a free one like Firefox, although you can download a free version that has all the features but it has a little ad banner at the top.

So far I am damn happy with it. :)

I use Opera. Tabbed browsing, integrated mail client, pop-up blocking, fast, mouse gestures, fast, almost fully customizable user interface, fast, multiple search engine quick searches built into toolbar if you want...did I mention fast?

I use mouse gestures almost religiously, I have customized ones for almost everything :)

I use firefox with some adblocking plugins, a downloads-in-statusbar (bottom of the screen, like in Opera) plugin, a radial context menu plugin (that also works when right clicking is disabled, mwaha), and some other small plugins. Woo, enough linkage for today. Did I mention I like plugins?

I don't know what you mean by slow, the first time you start it after a clean boot it's a bit slower because IE pretty much loads with windows, but after that it's faster.
And it doesn't display websites wrongly, those sites have been coded wrongly. Not Firefox's fault :p

mind sharing your customized mouse gestures? i know how to do it, but never bothered
:dork:

I really like Firefox
I had been getting too much spyware popping up in spybot when removing that junk.
Since i've used FireFox I've had no spyware, no popups, and faster internet surfing. Love the tabs and that google search box.
I've tried going to the same sites with IE and it is slower.

I've tried Mozilla (with email client and all) and it seemed a bit too bulky and not quite as fast. I've tried Opera a while back (before I switched to Firefox) but didn't enjoy it quite as much as this.
