Got my x800 xt today and im ready for hl2 oh yesss!!!

Soon i will be playing hl2 in all its glory,cmon valve hurry up,doom 3 is right around the corner,i have faith in valve still,but if hl2 is not out by end of sept i will be very dissapointed,but i believe it will,how many of you have got a x800 or 6800 in preperation for doom 3 and hl2?


i hope to dear god,we get something new before doom 3 is released,just something. dont you all?

half life 2 is made for a wide range so you guys wont have much difference performance wise,all the x800 xt will do is allow you to notch it up to full graphics,btw i just got world ranking number 8 on 3d mark lol

i am amazed,i had a 9800xt and the x800 xt just completely demolishes it,i mean wow.


talk about far cry at 1600 res,with x4 and x16 with all details on high,and what do we sayyyyy? yes i says 60-70 fps with it dropping to 50 at the least in packed areas,having a good comp and a good card realllyy pays off

well basically a fellow retailer and friend i know,got a hold of one x800 xt,for him,he invited me over to play it he loved the card,but he needed money for a new processor so i asked him,if i gave him my 9800xt and 100 bucks would he give me the x800 xt so he said yeah,and even though he was nearly in tears haha,i got the beast,now its firmly sitting in my comp pwning everything i give it lol

it sounds insane, but he's right. the x800xt is literally impossible to find in stores. same goes for nvidia's 6800 ultra. and yet, with all these problems, ati and nvidia still put out press releases about new, more powerful cards.

I think my 9800xt 256 mb and AMD 2.2 ghz will run hl2 on full everything at goo frame rates!

well, the highest texture quality setting on doom 3 requires a card with 512 megabytes of texture memory. there isn't a single card on the market that can handle that.
