GOWIII demo

still haven't played single player of the 2nd game. Could probably get it though.

Any idea if this is a new demo or the E3 one?
 
Yeah, this is the same demo that came with the District-9 Blu-ray. That is not to say that it is still not INSANE because it is. The game looked and played that well WAAAAYY back in June of 2009, so one can imagine the sort of polish they have been putting on it lo these last 8 months or so. Everyone who owns a PS3 really should buy this game if only to show their friends and family what a truly epic gaming experience is. :eek:
 
Not a game going in my to play list but still big promotions are about to happen

played it. pretty much what I expected; no surprises
however, it is almost a year old. the footage I saw on GTTV yesterday looks considerably more polished
I'll be picking it up either way because it's one of only a few ps3 exclusives worth playing IMHO
 
I'm torn on this. It looks great, epic even, but feels oddly dated with its fixed camera and identikit gameplay. Strip away the epic and you have Dante's Inferno. I'll get it for the setting, which is still awesome, and the spectacle of blood letting, and will try not to compare the combat too much to Bayonetta's (which destroys it btw ;))

I have no doubts that this game will show Dante's Inferno what it was trying way too hard to be.

Yeah I noticed the same thing, it does feel pretty dated now after Bayonetta.
 
I dont usually play these games, but the setting and artwork is so god damn good. I'll probably pick this up sometime after a price drop.
 
Goddamn, I was confused as hell. I came into this thread thinking... "When the hell was Gears 3 announced?" Then I saw "psn". :o
 
I'd played the demo before I saw the thread, so I knew what it meant.

3gb for a demo? Shit, good thing I have a nice connection speed. Overall it was pretty good, I wouldn't pay 60 for that, though. Ended at the good part :(.
 
Lokks great I love the art direction, and the bosses could give even Painkiller a run for it's money.

However

PS3 still has no gaems
 
*sigh* But the games we do have, especially the exclusives, wipe the floor with the 360 ones.

360 has Gears and Forza...and thats about it. Halo doesnt count, its not a game.

Anyway, 92% downloaded as of this morning, thats been left on 2 nights in a row now. Should be done by tonight.

Not really comfortable with leaving my PS3 on for a good 8 hours straight, but atleast its just in the menu and not actually generating much heat, still dont trust it though. Maybe thats just the 360 nightmares coming back again.

p.s. Ive never played a GoW game, but I've bought the GoW Collection from the US and will buy this one, if I like the demo and previous games, once Ive finished the previous in the series.

Ooh, how about a toad, that is the size of a county, hops around flattening entire islands, until super marine climbs into a tear duct to sever the optic nerve
