0kay, I have finally decided to get a new video card for my PC after months of desperate saving. I am replacing my NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 128 MB RAM with...this. Now, I don't know if this would mean that I would have to upgrade other parts, too (such as processor, RAM, etc), because I don't want my PC chugging after I slip in a brand new video card. So, what I am asking from you is this: Should I upgrade other things in order to get the best and most out of the new video card?

PC specs:
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
P4 2.26 GHz
768 MB of RAM (Unsure if it is either DDR or RD)
COMPAQ CV735 Color Monitor (Manufactured: October 2000)
I run 99% of my games @ 1024x768x32.

your ram is fine, cpu speed is fine, moniterim sure is fine. you will really notice a difference with that graphics card.

I got stuck with a fx 5200 too. Lucky, I have a Dell, no agp, gotta get a whole new system. I'm sure you'll see a huge difference when you play a dx9 game. I hope my turn comes soon.

hope you learned your lesson with big-name-company machines now...build your own

Thanx all. I won't upgrade anything else. The video card is my main priority.
*Oh I can't wait for my 9800 Pro to get in my mailbox*
