Dear lord, that's insane polycounts for such models
Not that I care, bring em on! (I still want to see someone rival my experiment in BF1942, 21k rifle, 48k dropship, 28k carrier, on screen at once)
whats the poly on the grenade, i cnt see if youve mentioned it, or am i going blind as well as senile in my old age....
and i think what people are forgeting is that 2000 polies has to be with the arms as well :cheese: and I'm thinking that people want some stunning arms too
stone, i dont think that 2000 is plus the arms, otherwise all these models r screwed. they said the view models r 2000-2500, someone explained somewhere that that means the p_model and w_model types. i think they're doing it like BF and MOH, separate model for guns and hands. not sure tho, dont quote me on that.
no kidding. i am totaly screwed if 2000 includes the hands. so far i've kept my models under 2k but the amount of detail that would be sacraficed if i had ot include arms. Ohh man it scares the hell out me just thinking about it.
Stone you sick man , you should have kept that to yourself hehe. I've been thinking anything under 2400 is ok(if the model NEEEDS it). I may be worse off than Hiro.

and murray-h that would be mad!. you already see polygons dissapearing. because i am sure that you will get normal displacement maps in a year or so that just make the detail even sicker! (immagine doom3 with normal-displacement maps - no more poly sillouettes)
