whoring out bloom and bump mapping never looked so good :)

(in very random order)
silenced weapons, ragdolls, stealth kills, house robbery missions, 3 cities, turf wars, martial arts, car mods (nitro w00t), custom appearence hair, tatoos, build, clothes. Chopper Missions, Own buisnesses (including strip clubs and casinos). the list goes on. and most importantly more ways to beat hookers to death! :imu:

All at the end of those month :O im so excited... I cant contain it. -creamage-

it's so amazing to see rockstar can do all this with ps2, all the while keeping the enviorments huge, actually makeing them much larger

btw the banshee is back and badder then ever

It's not that good for PS2. See Killzone.

Only now they're bringing it to the max

GTA has to cut down on anything but the cheap tricks because the enviorments are so rediculously gigantic. It's a go anywhere do anything with thousands of things that rape the ps2 memory cache (npc's, random gang fights, traffic etc etc)

Exactly my point. They're finnaly touching the sky of the PS2.

Well the PS2 isn't an incredibly powerful system anymore. The Gamecube and xbox have a lot more powuh.

She mode activated:

omgzor wow!!!1 shadozsw suck hahaha
im cute teehee!

Seriously though, this game is shaping up nicely :)

Yes. Damn nice lighting it is! :D

But just imagine the possibilities of the PC and...maybe Xbox...if they take it to the max.

That's actually not very true. The differences between Gamecube and PS2 are minimal at best. The PS2 is actually faster than the X-BOX, but it doesn't support as many top of the line features (even bump mapping has to use a backdoor method with PS2).

When you play high quality PS2 games, you can see that they usually have more polygons and more environment detail (Jak 2 is a great example), while X-BOX games usually have fancy effects.

But what really matters isn't how good the consoles are, it's how good the games on the consoles look. And from what I've seen they're all very close. There is no racing game that looks better than GT4, period. Halo 2 is arguably the best looking console FPS, with Killzone close behind. MGS3 looks stunning, although it's hard to compare it to an X-BOX game (the closest is Splinter Cell I guess, but I believe MGS3 looks better).

My point is that the graphics are very similar.

Eh..GTA is getting way to repetitive for me.

I am starting to think thats why I didn't bother purchasing Vice City. I might want to grab San Andreas though, because of shitloads of features, also the setting is here, in CALI!

Anyways... last time I checked Killzone, it was a meh... damn thanks for the huge update. The game is catchin' my eye! I love the realistic body movements they implement. But the voicing, sounds retarded.

Humm, PS2 is starting to look old, Xbox has a lot of potencial, but it was released to late, they need to get a new system to compete with the PS3.
Gamecube is good, but its for kidys.

i've played the killzone demo, and its not that great looking, the textures take forever to load lol you'll run up somewhere and the walls and ground will be a flat color then a few seconds later the textures will appear. And that first shot of gta with the chopper isn't lighting. Its a mesh with opacity alpha mapping and texture tricks is what it looks like to me.

IMO the ps2 has good power and all that shit,is just that veribody here cares just that all games should be released whit next gen graphics, super hig rez textures, models whit millions of poligons, etc

the japanese games of the ps2 are very good in graphics

PS2 still looks pretty good to me. I guess what I've been noticing about it is that they use a hell of a lot of post filter effects to make the jaggies not so apparent. It has it's limitations like any other console, and I think they're starting to show for the PS2, it's been out for 4 years now though, and it still produces nice looking games. Even if they have to use tricks to keep the gfx up to date.
