Hello Everybody,

I currently have a graphic problem with Half Life 2. When I am in full part and that I move the camera thanks to the mouse, the buildings in background change colors continuously.
I would try to put a screen at the occasion to make my explanation clearer. Here my configuration :

- AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2600+
- 1.68 GHz Performance Rated at 2.60 GHz
- 511.5 MB RAM
- Microsoft Windows 98 SE
- NVIDIA GeForce 6200 (driver version :4.14.10.8198)
- DirectX 9.0C

Thank you for you're reply and excuse my english, I'm a french boy. :P

Hello.

I'm sorry but I don't understand :o .
I don't know where is your "console".

To activate your console, follow these steps:

Left-click on the Steam tray icon.
Select "Games".
Click on the "My Games" tab.
Right-click on the game that you want to activate the console of.
Select "Properties".
Click on the "General" tab.
Click on the "Set Launch Options" button.
Put in the window box: -console
Click "OK"
Click "Close"

Didn't one of the piracy torrents have missing textures or something?

I'm just putting it out there....

Have you verified your game files with Steam? Do you know what Steam is?....

Episode One, yeah.

I had it before i got to my senses and actually bought the real version plus a lot of other Valve stuff. :D

And by the way, they aren't missing, they're just weird. :P

Thank you for your help.

I activate the console of the game and I try typing "writebitmaps" in, but he says me : Unknown command "writebitmaps".

I have naturally an original version of the game and not a pirated version.
I'm now verfying my game with Steam, I tell you if he find something wrong.

..:: EDIT ::..

Nothing with the verifiyng with Steam.
When I start a game, there this in the console :

[...]
Game started
Initializing renderer...
Warning: using WorldTwoTextureBlend on a non-displacement surface (material: nature/red_grass). Support for this will go away soon.

..:: EDIT ::..

It doesn't work... :(
He says me the same thing : Unknow command "writecubemaps"

When I tape "Buildcubemaps" he says me :

] buildcubemaps
maps/d1_trainstation_04.bsp is not writable!!! Check it out before running buildcubemaps.
