Graphic problem????

I have a Radeon 8500, and when i play Half life it just keeps flickering the walls are okay but and object person or vehicle you can bearly see!!!
Ive tried updating the drivers turning everything off reinstalling it any other suggestoins or is cause the card is crap????
Help will much appreicated???
Which driver should i be installing for theis card, as ivwe looked on all the forums and there is no posts about this card is it cause the cared is crap??
Should i get a new one???

I play just fine with a radeon 8500. Try to update to the Catalyst 4.12s. Do a clean install of the drivers . Here is how---->http://www.tweaktown.com/document.php?dType=guide&dId=569&dPage=2

I use driver cleaner to remove all the traces of the leftover drivers.

what do u mean it dosent meet the min. specs radeon 8500 is dx8 card

The radeon 8500 supports ever feature of direct x 8.1. More than the geforce 4s did.
I have a ti4800 and after alot of testing . The 8500 with the cat 4.12s runs better than the ti4800. Its just alot smoother with more stable frame rates. Gonna upgrade when i get my income tax check but for now i guess il play hl2 with the 8500. You just won"t get the directx 9 effects with the geforce4s or the 8500. But unless something is wrong with them both would work fine.
