It looks really good, I didn't know a fx5200 could pull off something like that :O

This is a thread where u r meant to show us a pic of what ur Graphics card can do.. (preferably HL2 or CSS).. i just showed an example of what i did on G-mod

Here's me thinking you wanted a cookie. Fine. Don't have one then.

Quoted For Truth.

My 9600XT could probably do a little fire......on the motherboard.

Pfft, showing off graphics CARDS are lame. Mind if I show off my graphics CODE?

LightingDemo.jpg

-Realistic per-pixel lighting including Fresnel reflectance approximation and support for multiple lights
-Omnidirectional shadowing accomplished through shadow maps
-Soft shadow support (I turned it off in that image, here's a pic with it enabled: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v627/Cypher19/LightingDemo2005-04-1018-01-09-82.jpg )

Currently running at >60fps on my X800Pro, still got a lot of optimizations to go though.

*grabs the cookie*

Who said you could have a cookie, ask first!

*Snatches cookie back*

Nice though.....

Here is my Geforce FX 5200. Old but gold.

I've got a 128mg fx5200 as well, and it runs everything on medium fine.

Nothing to be proud of though, but I'm getting an x800xl soon :D

Mines 256mb, and runs (mostly) everything on high just fine. I'd love to be able to spend £300 on a top of the range card, but my girlfriend would leave me. Seriously, That's what she said. She keeps catching me looking at them online and I act all guilty as if I was looking at animal porn.

I might have to bury her under the patio.

Over and out.

Something along those lines...except she doesn't tend to call me by my forum screen name. Dave will do.

5200 can't do much, these days :(
It NEVER did much... any day.

I have a X800XL 256MB PCI-E right now, and it owns.

I don't feel like showing off what my 6800 can do until lost coast comes out ;)

256mb nvidia GeForce 6800 GTO :D

Pwns HL2 at max settings at 1280x1024 (native resolution of my LCD TV/Monitor)

Why dont developers make full use of the graphics cards of today? They are only using like half the capacity of the card. The graphics card on the xbox is a 64 mb Geforece. yet it manage to churn out graphics that equals some of the medium range cards of today, the computer of that xbox equivalent would not be able to do it. So i say, stop bringing out new cards every 6 months, that amount to like 10-11 percent more power than the last one and start using the full potential of todays cards, that way more copnaies can make more games run at better speeds and churn out outstanding graphics. I am sure that if they make a game that takes full advantage of my R9800XT 256mb, it would kill any x800 card available today and probably work better and more efficient.

actually any card that supports DirectX 9.0 and the OpenGL extensions should be able to pull off any render, it's just a matter of how long the render will take.

AMD 64 @ 2700MHZ(past a AMD 4000 speeds), 1024DDR Ram @ 300FSB/HTT. ATI X800 (460 core 1120 memory), DFI Lanparty Ultra motherboard. DELL 20.1" widescreen TFT, 12MS Responce :). 27000 3dmark 2001. 15000 3dmark 2003. ;). Half-life 2 flies, all maxed out to the max! :D

5200's are nasty, icky cards. I melted mine in a fire because I hated it then bought a 6600gt

We dont care about specs, we want pictures to prove it :p

Word

I have a 6800 GT and HL2 runs quite nicely at 1920x1200 (Apple HD 23") with everything on full. I've got a new PCI-e mobo and I'll be trying an ATI x800 XL on that here shortly. When I first got the 6800, I posted a screenie from Doom 3 at 1600x1200 and it looked awful compressed in the web browser compared to the image editor. How do I post a screenshot here? Most of the shots seem to be hosted by a third party.

Thats my first shot, using an X800XT. Im happy with it, it plays really well.
