graphics card size?

Is there anyway that I can know how large a certain graphics card is? (aside from estimating from pictures) cuz I have a 6800 256mb and the end is only a few cm or so away from the hard drive wires (if I squishy the wires then maybe an inch or two), if I want to upgrade to a 7900 gtx then how do I know how large of a space I will need? I have plenty of width room, but not sure about the length. I tried looking around but nothing but pics from tomshardware.com can only give me an estimate...

EVGA's 7900GTX has a length of 9 inches (228.6mm).

no its not, apparently evga doesnt even have the card on their site, as a matter in fact they stopped selling it on newegg a week after I got it. The closest thing on that site is the agp version of my card with 128mb less ram: 6800 256mb pci-e. I see where they have all the measurements though, so I can just measure my card by hand and compare, thanks though :bounce:
