Graphics missing (white lines)

hey guys. im having trouble with some missing graphics, especially when i go outdoor in the game, everything just goes mess. most textures dont show n all i get is white lines all over, n the sky is messed as well, the npc show up fine, the sounds r good too, just everything else is a mess

my comp
- XP pro
- Pentium 4 CPU 2.53GHz
- 512MB RAM
- nVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE (latest driver)

so does anyone have any suggestions? thx

wow wtf, looks like your water is messed up... try running the game in dx8 I hear gforce cards have issues with dx9 on hl2.
