For some reason my textures are being smudged (I think that what it is). I have the settings on medium , but I have tried putting them lower and it doesn't work. I get an average fps of 20 - 50. *Note:I have a radeon 9100 pro with the latest drivers and 512 mb of ram*

Might be something wrong with your card. Try another game.

looks like your card gets a bit hot...open your case and try again

I've tried it with other drivers.......but ever since I've gotten the new drivers its been worse

Get some older drivers then. And if nothing works, open the computer's box and try then.

I have the same problem. Your most likely not going to find any real help here. Thats why I didn't bother trying! Try a different forum!

uhh this is why valve put in a "Bug reporting" option. Why the hell didnt you submit it to valve rather than post it here? Come on people.

I don't think it's a bug.......

I dont have af or aa on.....

I used to get the same splitting problems in far cry and deus ex 2, i didnt think much of it till i noticed it happened everytime my cpu went above 47 degrees, narrowed it down to Borked memory on the graphics card, had to replace. :s

Hmmm are you all stupid? hes getting texture splitting which can easily be fixed by going to "Options" then "Video" and "Advanced", in advanced video options in the lower left corner of the window there should be a pull down bar that says "Wait for Vertical VSYNC" set it to no, it works on almost all computers on almost all games, even betas.

i had that problem with other games after i set my frames to render ahead to 0, i just set it back up to 3 and they all disapered. but i did it with an Nvidia card and dont know how to do it with an ati, and i dont even know if u messed with that...

Are YOU stupid? That is most certainly NOT image tearing. It's artifacting, plain and simple.

Try opening the case and putting a fan next to it, like suggested above.

haha, Valve has fixed my problem in the new update!

Thanks for the help!
