Graphics problem.

Hi guys. <--new to the forums. There's something happening with my graphics that I can't quite figure out. Please bear with me, i'm not too savvy with my computer knowledge quite yet.
System Specs:
OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows XP Professional
PROCESSOR: Intel Pentium 4 3.0ghz
MEMORY: 1024mb RAM
GRAPHIC CARD: Nvidia 6800GT 256mb PCI Express
--Running DirectX 9.0c

Basically the entire game has run more than fine with the settings I have. However, after the helicopter chases you into a tunnel during Water Hazard, there's a loading point into an area where there's a ramp "puzzle", involving throwing things into an old elevator to raise a ramp. Once I load into this area, random....walls of color (?) will appear in different places. I've tried turning certain settings down, to no avail. Also, the game was pretty much unplayable due to this, until the patch I downloaded today made it a little better..but it's still visible, and still frustrating. Anyways, for those who know more about this kind of thing than I do, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some pics of what I see....

Seams to me an overheated Video card.
Try undoing OC if you OC-ed.
See if processor Cooling system, V-card fans are working appropriately.
Also check and see if you have adequate PSU with sufficient power.
Check your Case fans specially exhaust fans.

Good Luck.
