What is the difference between reflect "world" and reflect "all"? It seems like they should be the same thing to me. What could there be that is not in the "world"? Also, HL2 recommends 4xAA and 8xAS for my hardware. Is there really any visible difference if I go with 6&16? Like what would I notice, if anything? Other than those three, HL2 recommends the highest setting for me on everything. Is there even a computer out there that will have all of the highest settings? Mine is practically the best out there, what could be holding it back...

I need to reflect upon my shitty little computer after I read about Your dream machine-u know what? Right now I get the feeling, that even my ego has suffered!!!! :rolling:

If you don't notice it, don't use it... I hate antialiase, and usually prefer simply a higher resolution (plus I always get mouse movement lagg with it on).

Ansiostropic makes the textures much crisper the farther away they are... You'll see bandings and lines where the textures "switch" at a distance if you don't have a good level of ansio.

lol. :)

You will notice a little difference if you turn on reflect all, but you will notice barely anything by turning up AA and AF higher, except a massive FPS drop.

I was wondering that.. I use a 6800U and it still recommends 4x and 8x respectively.

Also, I thought you get texture 'flicker' when you have high ansi.. you just get blurry if you have too low?
