gravity gun jump

how do you do this? ive seen clips of ppl doing this to be able to clear walls or fences. i myself tried it out on hl2dm but am not sure how to do it. any help?

Jump up on something, grab it when the manipulator, shoot it against the ground and at the same time press the jump key.

its all about timing and maintaining the centre of the object under you, on my friends map (dm_burn) we both managed to get up to the third story of the building
