Gravity Gun or Portal Gun?

Well after seeing that topic on the Aperture Science Vs. Black Mesa, it got me thinking, which would you prefer to actually have, the Gravity Gun, or the Portal Gun?

Personally i'd go with the Portal Gun.

I'd choose the Portal Gun if it allows me to make portals and enemies would fall throw them.

If the Portal Gun is only for taking shortcuts, then gravity gun pl0xx.

What is this tosh? Two guns. Zero Point Energy Field Manipulator or Aperture Science Portal Handheld Device. Gravity and Portal gun RUBBISH.

Portal gun, getting around would just be so much easier with it. In my town we can just about see France on a good day. So I could just shoot a portal at the smudge on the horizon, and then one right next to me, and hey presto!

In the last thread where this was discussed I voted Grav gun, but that was before I had played Portal, so now I definitely say the portal gun. How awesome would it be have it in real life??!!!!!

It would depend on what kind of situation I am in. The Portal gun is an elegant tool more suited for puzzles and area navigation. the Gravity gun is more combat oriented and potentially more useful in more common situations.

but with the portal gun, you can also pick things up and you can travel far distances instantly.

i wouldnt go through the portal to france, my nuke would.but portal guns are still better in my opinion

Damn, this is a hard question
Portal gun would make travel easier
While the gravity gun would make work easier (in the sense of moving things around)
You could have fun with the portal gun by making people go through it over and over
While the gravity gun you can throw things at people real hard
So I would go with portal gun

Super gravity gun - you can THROW PEOPLE! How awesome is that?!
But I'd rather have the portal gun than the regular grav gun.

It would be near impossible trap another person in an infinite loop with the portal gun, I have a hard enough time trying to do it to MYSELF. Even if someone was stupid enough to run into a pre-set up portal trap, they would catch the ledges eventually.
So basically.. you would be like "lul portal under your feet" and I would be all like *jump* "BOOM EXPLOSIVE BARREL TO YOUR FACEHOLE":thumbs:
