Great beta map for download - cs_schweden

Hi, I'm new to both these forums and CS:S (but not HL). Anyway, I came across this map last night while browsing the net and thought it well worth sharing. It's one of the best custom maps I've tried so far so a big thanks to the designer for his efforts. :cheers:

It's called cs_schweden and is currently in Beta phase but is pretty complete. I've only played it against bots up to now and can't be sure how well it works online. There appears to be a mention of a problem with some models when playing on some servers but my German is still a little thin to completely understand so maybe one of the German members here can confirm. The designer is working to sort out this problem according to the update.

Bots play it very well if anyone prefers to play that way. There are plenty of screenshots provided to wet your appetites if you're unsure.

I guess that's what you get for venturing into the CS forums.

Map doesn't look that great. Some lights are coming out of nothing. The street lights are on, yet it is mid-day.

Geometry looks like it's a HL1 map. Come on people, get some curves in there!

Texturing is horrible too. I don't know how you people can say this map looks cool!

I don't play CS, so I don't think I will have the "pleasure" of playing this map Who knows, it might have some good gameplay in it.

This is an AWESOME map, very tactically designed, so don't miss it. You will not regret it. And Ignore vegeta897 - despite what some may think, there's a lot more to a map than looks (not that this map looks bad anyway. On the contrary, it's one of the best looking custom maps for CS:S out there IMHO).

Played some online on the R@zorzone server last night - this maps really plays great for team play. I'd like to see more sites have this map for download so it gets on as many servers as possible. :thumbs:

Looking forward to any future maps made by Harry. He's one talented guy.

Ignore the two pics at the bottom, they're from a discontinued map that was being built apparently.
