I got the idea from the art forum where Eatbugs asked us our most respected masters. I'm going to do the same for mus .
1. Mozart
I think it's Handel that "When the angels play for God, they surely play Bach, but when they play for each other, they play Mozart, and god listens." Mozart has an esquisite ear for beauty, and that's all I can say.
2. Beethoven
Beethoven's moody, unpredictable music has got me under a spell ever since I first heard it. No wonder parts his work are being ripped of by hollywood music still today.
3. Lizst
The Elvis presley of piano. Apparently his music is impossible to play. One thing is sure, it sounds good as heaven.
4. Chopin
One word: Waltz.
5. Ravel
Impressionist music at its best.
I know Classical isn't the big thing right now, but If you like any great composer, or even contemporary (If you like Howard Shore, I'm cool with that) post it here .
