Also I remember reading rumors a long time ago that they were going to make a Green Lantern movie with Jack Black as the green lantern. So it was going to be a comedy.

I totally would've watched it.

Green Lantern the movie really is already in pre-production phases. Warner Bros. selected just selected Martin Campbell to helm the movie, he also directed Golden Eye, Casino Royale, and Zorro. They are set to be filming in Australia soon.

Other movies in pre-production is Wonderwoman, Thor, Captain America, and a Justice League Movie. After the completion of Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man 2, they're set into creating an Avengers movie later on.
