Well hi. My name's Rich and I'm a home business owner. I've been playing online for 6 years now and I'm currently a member of IRON which is a multi-platform gaming community. Feel free to drop by at www.iron-hq.com, don't bother unless you're 18+.
I gave Half-Life and Counterstrike a shot back in the day but I quickly left for a few reasons.
1. The community was too tarnished by bad mouthed kids
2. The games code was so loose and there were too many cheats out there
3. People seemed to "get-off" on team killing or being silly
4. Considering the younger crowd, teamplay was impossible
I've been playing Call of Duty and Need for Speed Underground for the PC.
I chose Call of Duty because it doesn't appeal as much to kids 15 and under. In that game you'll never catch people trash talking, "leet-speaking", or commiting the other annoyances of the 1st Generation Half-Life community.
I've decided to give HL2 a chance and perhaps my gaming group will start a squad in here too if all goes well. Thank God for STEAM. It's like a babysitter for online gaming.
