I just beat Fable, and I enjoyed the game enough. However, I do have a few complaints, and I wanted to see who agrees with me. Here they are:

1. I beat Fable.
The fact that I beat it already says something. I only put 16 hours into that game, and I took my freaking time, too. A game that short can't be called an RPG.

2. You don't REALLY age.
Your character starts out as a 12 year old kid. A cutscene goes by and he's a teenager. Another cutscene, and he's an adult. After that, you start to age. But who cares? The really interesting part of aging in real life is skipped altogether in Fable. I wanted to see my character grow into a puberty stricken teenager, with awkwardly long limbs, pimply face, and a cracking voice. I wanted to see him get uncomfortable erections when he was around girls. It happened to us, God dammit, why was he spared?

3. You sorta age, but NO ONE else does.
You meet a 50 year old guildmaster in the beginning of the game. He stays that age for the entire game. What the hell is that? Most of the main characters are like that (Thunder, Whisper, Lady Grey). I know it would have been hard to put something like that in the game, but still. It takes away so much from the experience.

That's basically it. I mean, I could go on about how I don't like the loading times, silver keys, the dumb story, and the lack of villages with more than 25 people in them, but I won't. Even with all these problems. I still love the game. At least I tell myself that.

it's ok, morrowind is definitely a much better RPG, but, well, it's also a PC game and not an Xbox game

I agree about the length in that I wish it were longer, but I can't fault a game for it's length really. If it takes for than 10 hours of my time, it's worth it to me.

Age thing: yeah, not so cool, but i'll live.

yes loading time sucks alot.

I also think it's short...and what we had originally heard about "Fable" (what it was supposed to be) is hard to get over. If it was like it was originally planned...it would be one of the most amazing games ever made. It still turned out to be fun. I plan to play it 3 times through or so. Fighter/mage/thief roles pretty much. It's fun...but not what it could've been.

I have to agree. Fable was an enjoyable experience, WHILE IT LASTED! If was very disapointed in the size, but I still think it's a fun little game. Xbox doesn't have that many good RPG games. I myself and waiting for the new Zelda for the GameCube coming out late next year.

u mean to say that real life isn't enough for ya? u need it in a game now? j/k!!! :E

Fable looks so good...i was tempted to buy it.. but with HL2 and Bloodlines and MK: Deception coming out soon... i resisted temptation ;)

I'm still playing it, and I definitely do not like the loading times. I mean, I play in a little picnic area that takes 10 seconds to cross and it has to load as its own area? Surely, they could have at least made it a part of the previous zone? Bleh.

Also, the L-targeting system could definitely be a lot better. Not only is it difficult at times to lock onto the enemy you want, but it also creates poor camera angles at times. I expect better, I guess.

Lastly, character A.I.
What comes to mind the most is when you have to escort a character to place 'x'. UGH! Why do I have to tell him to wait? I should be able to walk ahead and slay enemies without him running in the way of my arrows or into the enemies' swords. Definitely pissed me off a couple of times.

Still playing. Enjoying it, though. When I forget about the hype I enjoy this game. But then when I remember that this game was six years in the making it makes me sad because it's not good enough.
