Okay Im not a hippy but I belive in hugs as a good way of releaving negative feelings etc. so Im asking you all to go along with this HUGE HL2.net GROUP HUG!

Now that we've all practised in a safe envirment, how about we go and really hug some people. Seriously though, hugging someone can make you feel a whole lot better about things. Doesnt matter if they are a man or a woman, just hugging a person makes you feel good, it will also make them feel good as well. That is of course, if we all drop our cynical, image driven mind sets.
 
Even though I consider myself to be reasonably open-minded, I must admit I rarely hug men IRL. Usually only when all of the following three conditions are met:

1) He is a very close friend
2) I haven't seen him in a long time
3) I've consumed alcohol
 
It seems to me that you hug men and women in a different way anyway (Unless you are gay, but thats besides the point). For one thing, ive noticed that when two men hug, they usaually cross arms, but when a man hugs a woman, the woman puts her arms bellow the man's. Anyway, i suppose you "embrace" a man when he is feeling down, but you "hug" a woman.

and if u happen to be straight, u might enjoy it just a tad more if ur hugging a beautful woman.. but hey, if u really need a hug just grab the first person u see! ;) :p

Actually I'm not a hugging kind of person--my friends in middle school used to hug a lot and I'd say "Nooo, stop, aghhh" but all that darn group spirit in here has got to me :) :)
 
It would be funny if all of us was standing somewhere in New York or something and started a mass hug.. :)
