Grrr!! Friggin' monitor....

I just got my monitor today and the base to it won't attach to the monitor...WTF!?!? It seems to be the wrong type, from all the other pictures I have seen of the g90fb mine looks different(and it is). Anyone have any tricks to putting this bizzle in?

This is probably a dumb question but can an abit nf7 support an IDE hard drive? On the front it advertises supporting SATA but I don't see IDE anywhere.
